We recently hosted the officially launched the Groundswell Foundation and held this milestone event at the Maritime Museum. It was an evening of celebration, inspiring guest speakers and fund raising.
The Groundswell Foundation was formed to tackle the growing issue of loneliness in urban and rural communities in Australia. Together, we have worked tirelessly to raise awareness and drive change… and we’ve only just begun.
The evening was short on speeches, long on fine wine from Saddlers Creek Winery, laughter and good company.
We would like to thank our special guest speakers Louise Plemming, the CEO Rally4Ever who shared her personal story to improve the mental and physical wellbeing of our community through tennis and social connections. Thanks also to Grant Wharington, world class offshore sailor for taking time out of his busy schedule to join us and share his story. Giving us all a sneak preview of Wild Thing 100 which will be the newest and possibly fastest Super Maxi to line up for the start of the Sydney to Hobart on 26th December.
